Is it a light switch or a coat hanger? Actually it is both. This creative invention, found on treehugger.com, seems to bring both the “saving electricity” and the “keeping clothes clean” mindsets together. I would probably break the damn thing, but that’s what a clumsy guy like me does when he turns the light off with too much brute force. This kind of green thinking is obviously beyond just brute force solutions.

Ban Plastic Bags
Thursday, July 26th, 2007Seems that San Fransisco has more going on than just a home run record chase. After S.F. passed legislation that banned plastic bags in major grocery stores, other cities in the US are taking up the cause. Check out the article on treehugger.com.
Possibility of “green” software?
Sunday, July 22nd, 2007How does one make themselves even more green? We created this blog, and it’s sister website, but can we go beyond that? According to this article, green programming might be a possibility. As displayed on our pages, we use the green hosting services of DreamHost and try to promote people buying green products. Could we be doing more? At this time, I don’t really know… but we will be looking into it.

green crawler goes live
Monday, May 21st, 2007We are *officially* going live tonight. After months of coding away in a small studio apartment, our project is ready for the big time. I would like to thank all of my family, friends, co-workers and all other beta testers for all of their awesome input. This site began like most great things, with a few dedicated people bouncing around ideas and then taking the best of those and running with them. To think that a few months ago this was nothing but a sparkle in our eyes is quite impressive.
Updates on features: As of yesterday, the “top searches” is finally up and running. Took a while, but it seems to be going strong, and your searches actually do affect the results (but don’t abuse it!).
Ascending and descending columns should be arriving soon, as well as an updated look for the results area.
We have big plans for this, so expect to see even more products going up over the coming months. 2800 sounds like a lot of products, but I know we want to get past quadruple digits very soon.
