Looking to find things like transportation alternatives or other eco-conscious people in your city? Green Crawler now features Green Links.

While Green Crawler serves as an online resource for green shopping, one of our goals is to connect consumers with other green resources on the web.  This is why we’ve added a “Green Links” feature to Green Crawler.  We’ve all heard about the standard “10 ways to go green” (from somewhere), yet most of us are still unaware of where to find jobs in the growing renewable energy industry, what other public transportation alternatives we have in our cities, where to mingle with other eco-conscious people over an organic beer, and where we can go online to connect with other green Blog readers.

This is what the Green Links feature will provide.  The links we feature will be either resources that we have used personally, and enjoyed, and links that have been shared with us, and deemed useful.  We will eventually provide our favorite links across a broader range of resources and services, whether it be our favorite organic recipe website, our favorite eco-news site, our favorite green charity, etc.

For now, I have provided a link to my favorite monthly green event, Green Drinks, in which eco-conscious people across the world meet for a beer (or three) and discuss anything from new green companies, to new green buildings being built in their respective cities.

green-collaborative21Jacob has also linked one of his personal favorite green services, Zipcar, a convenient car-sharing service that operates in select cities across the country (and in London), and throughout college campuses.  He has saved hundreds of dollars a month (no insurance and less gas usage) using this public transportation alternative, and as a result, he has saved 219 gallons of crude oil…alone.

The goal is to take our personal experiences from these green resources, and share them with Green Crawler’s users.  On the other hand, we have yet to be introduced to every green resource out there.  We are always looking for new green resources.  If you like our service, and would like to share with us, your service, a service you know, or a service that you have used, then contact us at info@greencrawler.com, or send us a Tweet!
